    You're doing it the old way. The new way doesn't require fighting any trainers; only a PC and Strength are needed

    The reason you needed to fight a trainer (that walks up to you) was so the game could load the script that ends the sprite moving animation. Using Strength on a boulder does the same thing. You use the PC to save the game to get access to the Start Menu
