  I personally went with: -Spears and swords for the avatar (lightning thrust for Metal Slimes, then all Swords) -Axes for Yangus (Executioner for Metal Slimes, plus good attack power) -Whips for Jessica (ability to hit multiple enemies, as the boomerangs become weak later on) -and Bows for Angelo (Angelo has few good skills period, I Just like bows for Seraph's arrow)

  Of course, that's just what I went with, there's other good options too. -staves with Jessica is good if you use magic often -Yangus has the best fisticuffs skills by far -knifes with Jessica eventually let her equip swords, which is very useful -boomerangs hit every enemy, but become weak late-game -swords are a good option on anyone for offense In the end, anything you pick works fine.
