    You might be at a lower level than what's expected. I'd recommend that you be over level 20.

    Then I'm guessing it's just the difficulty curve... all I can say is don't be afraid to use healing magic and items as needed. (Especially is Angelo has the skill Cherub's Arrow, as he can heal and then recover his MP)
