Some post where I talk about Salazzle competitively.

All righty, so we're back, this time with an actual pokemon. The focus continues on Gen 7 pokemon, with this one being on... well, Salazzle. So, Salazzle. Known for being the 3rd Totem Pokemon and having a pre-evolution with a 1/8 chance of being female, with that being the condition of evolving, annoyingly enough.

    @Ty: Well, for Celesteela, you can just roast it with a nice and powerful Fire Blast, but yeah, Toxapex is a high-priority target for it :P @Andy: Havent been able to use it much myself. Hey, maybe if you havent made your next Showdown Live team yet, you should try SubToxic Salazzle :P So, anyone have suggestions for my next analysis?

    Then Toxapex would be even more broken. Having access to Corrosion and Regenerator is scary beyond belief. With Salazzle, you can Crit everything with Dual-Stab moves, and not worry about the Pokemon getting too tanky, because Crits ignore stat boost. Just set up a layer of Toxic Spikes (Or Two), bring in Salazzle, and crit everything.

    If/when I use Salazzle I'm using NP + 3 attacks, not SubToxic LMAO

    As long as the opponent doesn't have a Steel, Poison, or Pokemon that can remove hazards, Salazzle can run a train on the team. Set up a Nasty Plot, and it's pretty much GG.

    @Ty: I know, and fair enough, but the abilities seem like they were made for the wrong pokemon, Toxapex just being too weak to do much with crits, and Salazzle not bulky enough to take full advantage on Corrosion @Andy: But But SubToxic is decent from what I've seen :(

    Yeah, I get where you're coming from now. IDK if GF intentionally do these type of things, or are they just unaware of what they're doing when creating a Pokemon.

    They care about making the Pokemon as accurate to what it's based off as possible, even though that's really, really questionable because it seems plenty of Pokemon are missing moves you think they could normally learn.

    I feel as if Corrosion is for more tactical purposes because, worst case scenario Muk comes in and boosts Evasion or other Pokémon that like to stall you, you can weaken them a lot more efficiently and not worry about getting outstalled.

    That's not exactly what I mean. Salazzle's typing is good defensively, but her stats just dont reflect that.
