大方は家にお金を納めているが、それでも、お金が入るのは事実。これは、趣味の範疇に入るのだろうか。だが、立派な仕事というわけでもないと言える。規律や規定は存在せず－他人と協力する以上ちゃんとやらねばならないという暗黙の了解はあるが－個人が自由にバトルできる。完全な仕事というわけでもなさそうだ。なら、一体、俺らは何としてブキを選び、ギアを身に付け、バトルをするのだろうか。 …そんな雑務的な自問自答を、俺こと来城優:キロ　はナワバリバトルマッチング中に、繰り返していた。
