Sorry for being absent for so long without warning. I'm grounded until further notice again (I know, right?! My mother's got me, an 18 year old; on a leash… & if that's not pathetic, I dunno what is…) & also getting ready to start my studies in a professional institute. Oh, well… back to purgatory, I guess.

  • Yes, that's pathetic....... from her part, not yours. I hope you're alright.

    Sorry she's treating you like a little kid. I hope you're doing okay. I'm happy for you about starting professional studies though. Will you be living at home, or on the school's campus?

  • I'm back! I think… Apparently I can only "play video-games" during the weekend… Is this really what I have to live with until I can afford a place of my own…?

  • I'm really sorry about that, I hope she makes your life better beforethen. I also like your knock-knock joke.

    Glad you're back. Hopefully the "weekends only" restriction is lifted eventually. "...until I can afford a place of my own" So you will still live at home when studies start? Makes sense, living on campus can be hard in ways.

  • Campus? I guess that the education system works slightly different here, in Chile. After high-school's done; we go to either a "Universidad" or a "Instituto Profesional". I'm saying it in Spanish because I'm pretty sure that the words "University" & "College" don't have the meanings that you'd think they have… I'm studying 3D-Animation in my "Professional institute" and, after I'm done there;--

  • I'll be on my own. I'll have to look for a job. We don't live/sleep in the "Universidad"/"Professional Institute"… We have to wake up at 6:00, arrive at 8:00, study and go back home at 18:30… You can buy a lunch over there, but it'd cost between $2000-$3000 Chilean pesos. (I don't know how much that is in U.S. dollars…)

    I see, thanks for the info! As I've mentioned before, I live in a dorm on the school's campus/property, and walk to classes each day. Some schools (like a Community College) don't have people living on them though. We don't go there for a specified amount of time though, we just go whenever we have classes. Google says that 2000-3000 Chilean pesos is about 3.00-4.50 US dollars.

  • @Ni Huh… I expected different results. #TheMoreYouKnow Ξ☆ @Dumbo That's a nice souvenir! I wonder if I still have that one Brazilian coin that my grandfather gave me…

  • @Dumbo Tranquilo, te entiendo. :v ¡La encontré! La moneda tiene escrito "REAL", "2003" y un enorme número "1". No tengo idea de cuanto vale eso en pesos chilenos. :P

  • Gracias por entender, lo siento por igualmente no saber cuanto vale 1 real en pesos, y esta es la moneda que tiene más valor acá. Probablemente es la versión más reciente, con detalles en oro de cigano. Me gusta más la vieja y aún vigente "1 Real" enteramente cubierta en plata. ^^;
