Nintendo Delays: How will they affect Switch?
As we know, delays and Nintendo go hand in hand. How do you think delays will effect Switch's momentum? Will Mario Odyssey or other big titles slated for 2017 and beyond get the delay treatment and can Nintendo rely on enough 3rd party support to fill gaps if/when delays are announced?

@Fr Janitor..I don't know if Nintendo's decision to piggyback other social apps is ingenious or just lazy. The infrastructures there so it's definitely easier but do ppl want to flood their Facebook pages with screen captures of games? The online component..can Nintendo actually provide enough value to warrant charging an annual fee? It's been free this whole time but ppl still rather use Live/Psn

i highly doubt nintendo can warrant enuf value in their 30 dollar yearly service, nes/snes games that they add mp too, but take it all away end of month, what r they going to do to allow the switch to have online mp in portable mode outside the home with out the wifi?, they claim the games the same no matter where u r so how will i play mk8 at the park?, beyond single player stuff

botw is a great, but at times i get tired of roaming, and not meeting much for interactive enemys, and having my only opponet be the weather n terrain, dont get me wrong it adds a nice touch to the game, but it does lead to feeling stuck if your just trying to get to your objective without backtracking

Maybe Nintendo is raising Skynet as their online infrastructure. Online access any abd everywhere until the robots take over leaving John Conner as our only hope!

I think Nintendo's argument is that Switch removes the barrier of consoles being trapped to one room. You can have the same experience anywhere within your house but yeah outside is the big question.

I'm really hoping DeNA can help implement a truly innovative online. There's no reason why Nintendo can't seize the opportunity and make Nintendo online a top tier service. Games like Smash, Pokemon, Splatoon and MK depend on it.

With MK8 DLX, Splatoon 2, Mario and Zelda already slated for 2017..u have to wonder if we'll see new entries within Switchs lifetime. We've heard Smash and others will get the MK8 DLX treatment but are there enough heavy hitters left to sustain Switch throughout its cycle?

It's sort of ridiculous when you think about it,on wii u we all have freinds that we made by simply sending a request but we can't share our freind codes for switch with the same freinds even if it's exactly the same thing unless of course if we use PM's.Talk about hypocrisy.

That's classic Nintendo, still in 2017 they make it annoyingly difficult for its own gamers to communicate amongst themselves. Maybe that's why their getting rid of Miiverse so there's no where for us to challenge some of their more archaic methods

well it seems to me that initial buzz 4 the switch has died down, without more consistant contant and system availability, im not sure how nintendo will build back the hype, its one thing for hype to die down , but another for it to fall flat, depending on e3 the next big draw is mario 8 months from now

I don't regret selling my preorder..and not just cuz I made a profit. Switch still needs some time in the oven and I don't mind waiting a little longer until the picture is clearer. E3 will likely set Nintendo up for 2018 so we'll really see how they plan to carry its momentum. Right now it's little more than a Zelda machine mind u Zelda being an instant classic...

It would be smart to announce some bundles before year end. I'll still have to see how these 3rd party ports turn out...will they lack features?...run as smoothly as their competition? As a prior day 1 adopter I don't want to invest in a system solely based off hope. We hope it gets support, we hope it'll have proper online etc...time to show and prove before I'm all in.

That's exactly how I feel too....but will be pitching one up at Christmas regardless My Wife watches the 2 min or so vid on Mario Odessey every couple of days, lol. She is counting the days till that game. She even mentioned wanting to get it this fall rather than wait for Christmas. My Daughter is pretty excited for Splatoon & Kart 2 My Son & I would be cool with waiting longer right now;

We'll have to see if E3 changes our minds. My only worry about getting one this year is will we even be able to? Resupply has been less than a trickle

I remember Reggie saying it won't have a resupply problem...so that basically guarantees that the shortages we have now will continue; from TVii revolutionizing how we watch tv, to console shortages....that guy just never seems to give the correct info. Nintendo shouldn't let him near a live mic, lol.

After 100 years in business you'd think Nintendo would have master their supply and demand chains. I still believe they intentionally hold back supply to drive feverish demand but this also has given them a bad reputation for the accessibility of their products. I can't imagine how much $ they missed out on due to limited supply.

i expect bundles, bundles with nintendos favorite new game...thats right...1,2, switch...i cringe everytime i see an ad with only it, yea its great they r advertising, but put 1,2, switch away..that game shows just how out of touch nintendo is with the gaming demographic

outside of japan...in japan 90 percent see it as acute fun happytime game, in the us canada, n europe, its scene as utter nonsense, and completely forgetable,a nintendo land kinda game using the similar properties used, but incorporate couch co op as a focus this time would ve been way better...call it switchville
