When someone makes you mad, rather than screaming in anger, be calm, it's better to save a friendship rather than lose it.

  • But it's even better to let it out and let the other partner know how you feel.

  • Yeah, but that's why I said be calm. If you tell them how you feel, you tell them in a calm voice. Don't yell about it in anger.

  • It is unfortunate that your recent efforts have failed to adequately address the extraterrestrial threat, Commander. While we acknowledge the fact that is an ambitious project, unless there is a vast improvement in your leadership, there may be no reason for us to continue our support….

  • Sometimes you have to break a few eggs to make an omelette. Showing how the other person makes you feel is more effective than just telling them. And argument is healthy for a relationship. It makes both parties more aware of each other's feelings.

  • @Xalena You have a point. @Nubby Clarence? He's a friend I met on here a few months ago. He does these as well, currently, he's not active, but he'll be back here in a few days. If you search him up, †Clarence† is in the red shirt.

  • I thought you were supposed to burn down their house and place the remains in a large urn...

  • That's a very risk/reward strategy, Xalena, not necessarily a superior one… Making sure they know how you feel is alright, but if you just lose it and let all your rage loose your friend could take it the wrong way, get offended, etc. Stuff like that has put serious strain on otherwise fine friendships. Calm talking is much less likely to do so, though it may take longer to reach an understanding.

  • @Ed You're right. If you tell them how you feel, tell them calmly. Don't scream "You make me so angry when you do that!". Just tell them in a calm voice "Hey, I don't really like when you do that. So can you please stop?" Then he/she will say most likely, "Why does that make you angry?". Then you can discuss it from there.
