    Slightly unrelated, but one thing that bothers me is when someone says something like "Why should I bother playing *game* when I could play *game from 20 years ago in the same genre*." I mean... cuz the game is from 20 years ago and you've already played it? Like, if the newer game is mediocre, I get that, but dismissing one game because another is better seems like a bad idea to me, personally.

    Well to be fair I think it may depend on the game too.In most cases I agree with you, however sometimes a series can drastically change for better or for worse.Like take paper mario,it's a good series but many fans aren't too interested in the new direction that it's going in(mechanic wise I mean,not how the game itself is)so they may inclined to not play it and play what they are familar with
