Question

What's the learning curve like?

Is this game easy to just pick up and play? It got excellent ratings and looks cool, is why I ask.

Because I have been playing this game sence I was very little, (the game's dialogue helped me learn to read... :P) I actually have no idea. I usually try to help people with questions with this game, but I'm stumped... All I can say is that I have read that this game is apparently the easiest Dragon Quest game to start with if you're wanting to get into the series

What Bryan said. If you get stuck, don't be afraid to look up where to go next using a guide. The open world can be pretty expansive, but you should't let fear of "cheating" by peeking at a guide stop you from enjoying the game when you need to. Welcome to Dragon Quest!

Seems like its not too hard a game, but it can provide some challenges that'll require some quick research. I see. I have, in the past, felt some shame in looking up things(like type advantages in pokemon) but for the most part I convince myself that its okay to do it.
