Spent the whole day with my new switch! All i can say is... What's a Wii U? Oh you mean that Fisher price toy looking thing that thinks it's a DS you play on your TV!

  • Yeah i was only kidding. I like my Wii U but it sure had a rough life.

  • Oh, well ppl keep saying that and sure maybe u cant do as much on it as u can the switch but theres still a lot of great games on it

  • At least the Gamepad can't bend! :-) I heard one story so far with a Switch "bending" in a backpack or when dropped, the Joy-Cons not going on right anymore! I love the look of the Gamepad and it's built to withstand some rough times! :-)

  • Just discovered something unfortunate about my switch. While docked it has trouble connecting to wi fi. I was playing in TV mode and it wouldn't get online for nothing. Lifted it up out of the dock and it connected right away. Weird.

  • First time I heard of that one Jason but the consensus is from Nintendo that the Switch is prone to electronic interference. Nintendo is blaming the left Joy-Con desyncing issue partially on interference from other devices. I seen a list of do's & don'ts when it comes to where to place the Switch, how far away from the TV it should be & how far away you should be playing away from it!

  • Haven't had a single joycon problem yet. I heard some people were having difficulty removing the wrist strap attachments and breaking their controllers. The thing about that though is they aren't even necessary. You don't even need to use them. Plus there's a clearly marked lock release on them but morons were forcefully trying to tear them off.

  • Then you lucked into ok Joy-Cons but your Switch is obviously having another kind of disconnecting issue which is even worse! Where do you have your Switch in comparison to where your TV is? And what else is by your Switch?

  • My switch is on the bottom shelf of a small entertainment center next to my wii u. Not sure if that matters. I did a couple tests and it's definitely not connecting to wi fi while docked but has no issues otherwise. I can't imagine the dock would somehow be blocking the signal but it seems related to the problem.

  • There you go.. you have the dock on the bottom shelf. The shelf potentially is the problem or having it next to other WiFi devices especially if they are on! I really think the Switch's bluetooth & WiFi signals need to be boosted as there are too many connection/disconnection issues! The only downfall would be battery life would take a hit! Try moving your Switch dock to top shelf if possible!

  • I'll try that. My Wii U only seems to have a fit while someone else in my house is using the Wi fi. My router is probably 10 years outta date too. I can't have two devices connected simultaneously or it drops out. Is that normal?

    Yeahs0
  • No it's not normal & tell you the truth I have been having similar problems since September myself! We have a lot of devices going through our router so I don't think that helps either. I think there is probably something slightly wrong with our routers or I have been suspecting our ISP might be "throttling" our connection speed which would also affect multiple devices at once working right!
