Alien: Covenant Trailer

I just saw the trailer for the movie. (It is time to waste my week watching all the Alien movies once more.) So my question being... will Deacon return or does it not matter anymore.

    you might want to watch the predator films as well, so you understand the two alien vs predator films. (prometheus is an alien film, being a prequel to the first alien film)

    I almost forgot the AVP movies. Also from what I've heard Covenant might be a prequal (sorry if I misspelled) to Prometheus.

    The AVP movies are no longer considered canon anymore thanks to prometheus retconing the story, And alien covenant is said to be a sequel to prometheus

    If Covenant comes after Prometheus (storyline-wise) then could that mean the Engineers MIGHT be in the movie, or at least have something to do with it's story? (also 2 things) #1 Is the "Backburster" from the trailer a new type of alien, or is it just another way a chestburster to escape it's host? #2 Does anyone else find it weird to see the Alien in broad daylight?
