    OHHHH. Alright, oops. I hadn't drawn the connection between that and race, sorry. Yeah, I'm too aware of the brutal history. I live in one of the states that's always been the most... tense about this sort of thing. But yeah, it's just a lot of talk. Ignore it. Tough, yes.     Toxic friends are rarely friends. It might be difficult, but I agree with Ed. If it's this bad, and it really won't resolve, then severing ties looks to be the best option.

    Uh, yeah. If he's just picking on you, trying to be a friend is noble. If he's picking on somebody other than you, why would you still keep him around? Do it for your friend, if for no other reason.

    Not anymore. He wrote a whole apology paragraph asking for forgiveness. I forgave him but I can't be friends with him anymore. It's just adding more stress, and I can't have that.
