ThI s lady has issues

Calculus mock exam tomorrow. For a grade. Have to pass. 3 or higher to pass. But the catch is, we haven't been taught at least half of the content on the exam. Caculus test on Thursday. Wednesday, review. The test is fULL of content. We were going to do this test with partenrs and notes, but since our teacher got mad at us, she decided "nah, I'll just make them suffer"

  • The only reason she got mad at us is because most of the class didn't do their homework. I didn't do my homework because I don't undeRSTAND how to solve the problems. I wOULD do them if I UNDERSTOOD HOW. the whole root of this problem though is that our teacher just rushed through about 3-4 weeks of content and expects us to have it down-pat after like a week and a half of going over it ONCE...

  • And also "sudoku" won't exactly be good for me on a religious standpoint either so- Don't worry about me. I'm just super stressed and I wish I didn't have to do so much calculus. The knowledge stays there for a few days, then leaves forever. Or sometimes it's not even a few days. Sometimes it's like an hour.

  • I had a similar thing happen with science last year and spelling in like 4th grade. it's awful when a teacher doesn't care about you. can you still graduate if you don't pass this class?

  • That's not the point. I want to have a good grade in all of my classes. That way, it looks good for colleges and I have better chances of getting more scholarships.

  • fair in that case my only advice is to get a math tutor it won't help much for this exam but it will help a lot on future exams just make sure to get one that you are at least slightly comfortable with

  • If THAT'S how your calculus teacher works, then it sounds to me like your struggles come from poor teaching rather than any personal fault. Unfortunately, there isn't much that you can do about that unless you cloud get yourself transfered to a different class with a better teacher... I know. My sisters have had the problem of being held back by bad teachers before as well. Some teachers just »
