(News/Discussion/Question): Nintendo have said that they will be having a really big E3 this year and will have a lot of Switch games and 3DS games. What games would you like to see come to the Switch or the 3DS? :-).

Aiden@ I see and I can understand that perspective even if I don't have any siblings myself. I do think there will still be some life in the 3DS in 2018 due to Japanese 3DS games getting localized and similar, but by the end of 2018 or at E3 2018 I am not sure if the 3DS will have much left. You could try and get some money buy doing helping others if you want and can :-).

Thanks for liking my suggestions Kira@. Still I disagree with the chance we get a direct where we see new stuff. Sure a new trailer and maybe some 3rd party stuff but last time they did a direct so close to E3 they only had two or three new games to show off.

Arnold@ Well, I don't think we are that likely to get a full Nintendo Direct before E3 now, but I do think that a themed Direct could happen or a mini-Direct could happen :-). (According to Nintendoeverything as a April Fools joke most likely a Nintendo Badge Arcade Direct announced "Crazy Galaxy" featuring Ashley, the girl, who is from the Wariowere series I think).

Link@ Thought so and thanks for the clarification :-). I am not sure if a game like "Crazy Galaxy" could come, but it would be cool if it did, so we just have to wait and see I guess even if it is most likely a April Fools joke.

Arnold@ Well, both the NES styled Fire Emblem and the "Crazy Galaxy" April Fools was released, so yeah. A 2D Bayonetta game was also put on Steam for free on PC actually :-).

Arnold@ Also, coming to think of it I don't think we are unlikely to get some kind of Nintendo Direct before E3 as there are a fair amount of games coming out this spring. Mario Kart 8(28 Arpil), Disgaea 5 Complete(23 May), Rime(May/Spring), Arms(Spring), Sonic Mania(Spring) and a fair amount of indie games. Splatoon 2 is set for the Summer, but could come before if not during E3.

Aronld@ I don't know if also of that are enough for a Nintendo Direct only counting the Switch games as Fire Emblem Echoes comes on in May as well. Nintendo don't always have Nintendo Directs even if a fair amount of games are coming out, so it will be interesting to see if Nintendo make a Direct or not. Having a Direct before Mario Kart 8 Deluxe would help fill the gap release too I think.

I think I might be getting sick as I am not feeling a 100%, even if it is likely only a cold I don't know if I will feel well enough to report on big news if something pops up :-(. I have gotten a touch pen because of the Switch so I should be able to report things like now on my phone unless I get really sick. Hopefully I don't get sick and what I have now passes :-).

I'd love to see Downwell on the Switch. It's one of the few games I would buy again on the Switch, because it's one of my favorite games of all time and it's just 3 dollars. I'd also like to see Hyper Light Drifter on the Switch, although I'm not sure if I would want to take it on the go enough to spend 20 dollars on a game I already own.

DarkAlien@ I see :-). Downwell and Hyper Light Drifter are games that should appeal to the Nintendo audience so I don't find it too unlikely that they could come to the Switch. As far as money goes I can understand why you might hesitate, but that's a trade-off I think in terms of that then you will be able to take the game on the go. Hope you figure out what's best for you DarkAlien ^^.

True so we got to wait and see Kira@. Still did you hear about that comment from Sqaure enix that they love to bring more ips to the switch. While I know that I am likely to hopefull this could at least mean that mana collection and maybe bravely sequal is coming in the future. Ps know mana collection will appear on the switch in Japan but mean worldwide

Arnold@ I have a own post for the Square Enix stuff right now actually, but it is of course up to you if you want to want to post there, just thought it would be a bit easier for us both :-). Anyway yeah, a really promising sign and hopefully we get more Square Enix games ^^. The question is still, even if they come to the Switch, will they come out in English as well or just stay Japanese?

Arnold@ Also yeah, a Bravely game on the Switch isn't too unthinkable and would fit as it is a handheld, but I would understand if Square Enix prefer to keep the trilogy on the 3DS. It is true that if you have a Japanese account on the Switch you can buy Japanese games, but I discovered that you might have to get a Japanese eShop card or Japanese bank card to say, so it might not be that easy.

Just remembered that Downwell and Hyper Light Drifter were both made with GameMaker Studio. GMS didn't support 3DS or Wii U, and last I checked hasn't announced whether or not they'll be supporting the Nintendo Switch. Still a chance that they will support it, but it sounds like I'll have to stick with playing those games on PC.

DarkAlien@ Well, I think it is too early to say that Game Maker Studios couldn't come to the Switch, so I do think there is a chance even if we have to wait for a bit :-). Well, as long as you are able to play them and enjoy them that's the most important thing ^^. Still I am not sure, but even if the games are made in Game Maker they might be ported with other engines still or?
Yeahs1 -

They could port it to another engine, but that's a lot of work. They could keep sprites and audio files, but they would have to rewrite every single line of code in another language. Not many developers will be willing to do that for a single console. I doubt we have much hope of them porting games to another engine. We still have a chance of GMS supporting the Switch, though.

DarkAlien@ Thought so yeah, I think I read on gaming news sites that developers said that porting gaming Game Maker games wouldn't be easy. Probably best if Game Maker come to the Switch rather than porting through other engines. Guess we just have to wait and see :-).
