Nintendo just announced that E3 will big for both Switch and 3DS.

If there's not a Direct within the first few days of April, there probably will be none until E3 unless ARMS and Splatoon 2 get their own Directs.

    Start by announcing that you can download any new 3DS titles on Switch the same day as release on 3DS. I would download FE echoes on Switch day 1, but will probably wait a while if it's only 3DS for the time being

    At this point, I think 3DS games will be on a DSi/PS4Pro type upgrade of the Switch. Currently, they seem to be at least temporarily continuing the 3DS alongside the Switch because the 3DS's much larger userbase.

    @Shuan I noticed the switch doesn't have a mic or case sensitive r and l like the gcn which could make those hard, but not impossible, especially if they just sell a new joy con with those built it, which could be used for many more upgrades at little cost (at least compared to stuff like DSi and NEW 3DS)

    I think the Switch's Virtual Console will range from NES to GBA at first (along with third party systems like the Genesis/MD) then later on start adding games that range from NGC-3DS.

    I think having the joy con being the "upgraded" version is a cheaper more reliable method. (though i do also see a portable only switch being a thing as well)

    GameCube, DS, and Wii would only require an upgraded version of the Joy Cons, but 3DS would require a DSi/PS4Pro type upgrade of the Switch for Streetpass.
