  • Feel free to call me out when I get overly-cynical or redundantly restate previous thoughts. Both are problems of mine & must get very annoying during conversations.

  • No you're justified with your opinion, And i respect and i see no problem with what you have to say

  • Well, I also mean for future reference as well since I acknowledge that me being a cynic with a habit of repeating things can potentially lead to annoyance down the road. By the way, I finished rewatching Samurai Jack Seasons 1-4 so expect me to post my top 10 episodes tomorrow & start Rick & Morty: Season 2 soon!

  • So what are your thoughts over on rick and morty as well as the classic samurai jack episodes

  • I find Rick & Morty such a weird case. I normally find "Adult" cartoons (Family Guy example) to be boring or uncomfortable rather than funny, but Rick & Morty does so many of the same things, but gets laughs out of me. It may come down to keeping its dark jokes snappy & actually giving its characters a great balance of over-the-top antics, but with the occasional human moments.

  • Rick may be a jerk, but his over-the-top behavior tones down his acts, plus he never FORCES Morty to do anything. Yet, he obviously cares for Morty if the "Jelly Bean King Incident" proves anything. Plus, Morty's family may be very dysfunctional, but they have their dood moments that show why they're still together. When a joke is very dark, it's usually quick to get the laugh & avoid awkwardness.

  • Lastly, the references to various movies & it feeling like an alternate universe to Back to the Future are great. As for Samurai Jack, we can discuss my thoughts on that tomorrow when I post my top 10 favorite episodes. ;)

  • By season 2 morty is little more outspoken towards rick, But despite the fact that they get on each others backs both of them still care for each other

  • Agreed & I can't wait see what Season 2 holds! Plus, I'll be watching Season 2 of that, Star Vs., & Steven Universe, so it'll be a giant party of 2's!

  • More like mario party 2, Plenty of people like to crossover rick and morty with gravity falls, But then they also crossover with star vs. and steven universe into one huge cluster of series

  • I love both Gravity Falls & Rick & Morty & know about the little Gravity Falls reference they included in Rick & Morty with the creators being friends, but the two have drastically different ratings to be allowed a crossover. Steven Universe & Star Vs. crossover would totally be a no-brainer if they weren't on separate networks.

  • It's what the fans do (Including me), The crossover artwork done by fans look absolutely amazing and sometimes convincing, Plus it gets a good laugh out of me

  • Oh, I thought you meant they were demanding for a crossover. I actually enjoy art (non-creepy) & theories by fans of shows, it gives off a lively, interactive vibe to any community.

  • Fan art is the best part towards any fandom (Just as long as it isn't weird disturbing or questionable)

  • I guess that's your opinion, but I'm definitely more into the theory scene. I love hearing "what ifs", trying to predict how a story is going to go, analyzing for clues/foreshadowing/symbolism. It's just really cool to see people so invested in something that they want to try & delve further into it, myself included!

  • It's always fun to come up with theories based on what's implied and hinted at, In shows today it's handled much different it's more of show don't tell, When in olders series of cartoons and even live action work there was not a proper balance between those things, It's that a series answers questions but leaves room for theories ideas

    Yeahs1

  • The best thing a series can do when it comes to having mysteries is to provide satisfying answers after a certain amount of time, but then either create new questions or have one big, looming question still unanswered. This keeps fans happily around & thinking about the it a lot.
