(News/Discussion): Square Enix have said they are considering what games to port over to the Switch, which I think is really good news ^^. What Square Enix games would you like to see come to the Switch? :-).

    Cloud/Naruto@ I see ;-). I also like to play RPGs portable and the Final Fantasy 7 remake is no exception, but I do think as it is a action RPG and not a turn-based RPG I do think I would probably play on the TV as well from time to time :-). The question if the Cloud Amiibo would add something is also a question worth asking.

    Gamesake@ I see. I think it might be a bit stretchy to think that the PS1 version could come to Nintendo, but a additional remake for the 3DS specifically if not the Switch should work I think yeah :-). Also, meant oldschool turn-based combat for the 3DS version, a bit like the current Dragon Quest games you could say.

    Doing a separate remake of the original wouldn't be particularly smart when they're trying to market the new remake, that'd just confuse things. They could port the remaster that appeared on PC/PS4 to Switch I guess but it'd look pretty outdated when the new one arrives. Bravely Third would make much more sense in terms of traditional turn based JRPG's for Nintendo on Switch/3DS/both.

    David@ I just meant that I would find it weird if Nintendo would get the PS2 version, so I do think the current remaster in works that we have seen are more likely they. As for Bravely Third, agree and I think it might be most likely on 3DS as the rest of the series are there, but wouldn't be 100% surprised if they jumped to the Switch.

    Final fantasy 7 couldn't really work, because the graphical updates. We will probably get the remake without the good graphical capabilities.

    It depends on whether Bravely Third was a continuation of the story or simply set in the same world. They were hinting at a mobile game at one point so moving systems wouldn't be much of a surprise but they could do Switch and 3DS like I say. Dragon Quest is obviously doing that, did you see that bundle that has the PS4 and 3DS version in the same box btw? Interesting release option!

    It has to be coming. We have a Cloud amiibo and Advent Children Cloud amiibo. Those could have special uses in FF7 Remake if it was ported to Switch. Cloud: Could refill your HP and MP once a day AC Cloud: Unlocks Advent Children Cloud to play as

    (Sorry, was low on comments that day so couldn't answer ;^^. Anyway). Tigrex@ You mean that the Switch can get the Final Fantasy remake, just that it wouldn't look as good due to lower graphics settings? David@ True, thought it might be logical for a trilogy like that to have a consistent art direction, so that's why I thought the 3DS would maybe be best you see.

    David@ I remember hearing about the Bravely series mobile game, but I haven't really followed any information. Still, you are right that Bravely Third could come to the Switch if not the 3DS as well :-). Yeah, noticed the Dragon Quest 11 bundle that had both the 3DS and PS4 version in it :-). Agree with it being an interesting release option, but it does fit the situation.

    Cloud@ I do think the Cloud Amiibo and inclusion in Smash could be a good indicator yes, but a bit too early to say 100% for sure, though I do hope the Final Fantasy 7 remake is coming to the Switch ;-). Seem like logical Amiibo uses, but I think the Advent Children costume could maybe feel a bit out of place in the game, but probably cool still and a fun add on :-).

    And yeah sorry for not answering earlier ;^^. I will say, I do think the Final Fantasy 7 remake might have a decent chance of coming to the Switch, but it is something we have to wait and see on for now I think. Hopefully the Final Fantasy 7 remake comes to the Switch :-).

    I just have this feeling that since Cloud's inclusion in Smash, Square Enix and Nintendo's improving relationship, and the 2 Cloud amiibos that it has a good chance. They are both shadows of their former selves, Square Enix and Nintendo

    Gamesake@ Well, I am not reading that too much into it personally really, more so when it becomes a topic I suppose :-). Cloud@ I do think there are a decent chance yeah, also as the Japanese market is going more and more handheld/mobile from what I understand so the Switch would be perfect in that sense as well. And a lot of games are coming from Square Enix to Nintendo, so never say never :-).

    Cloud@ Well, I don't think it is something we can avoid with how the Internet is nowadays, fans will always be fans and if it is for better or worse depends on the situation/topic. I can understand the PlayStation fans logically as Final Fantasy 7 is originally a PlayStation game, but yeah it would be nice if it came to other platforms as well :-).

    But Cloud got in Smash for a reason... I think it was to promote FF7 Remake coming to Nintendo. But it could be for other reasons. That's just my thoughts
