「お前じゃまだ教えるなんて無理だろ。」 アレクは片手間に返事をする。 「あーもー！来春の試合で勝って、S+になってみせるんだから！ 」 「…ほら、もう7時だ。片付け始めるぞ。」 アシスはいかにも不服そうな顔をして、辺りを見回し始めた。目についたのは、ホクサイの練習をしているショウ。踊るように、滑らかにホクサイを扱う姿は、アシスの瞳にはキラキラして見えた。 「君、ホクサイの扱い上手いね!! でも、見たことない顔だね。あたし記憶力いいから、一度見た顔は忘れないんだけど…もしかして新しくここに来た子？次の試合のパートナーは誰！？」 ショウは声に気づき、手を止めた。 「…1週間ほど前にここへ転入してきました。パートナーはカエです。」 「へぇ！相手の子も上手いんだろうなぁー。絶対良い成績残せると思うよ！」 アシスはじゃあね！とだけ言い、アレクの方へ走っていった。
