    Its translation is "The clothes do not make the man." It's the French equivalent to our "Don't judge a book by it's cover," meaning that, for example, just because a monk wears the robes for his practice doesn't mean he has sincere intents. Sorry for the long explanation. I had to do a small presentation on this. ^v^"
