A little WIP lineart. I unfortunately had to skip the last session of my drawing class due to severe weather, and I wanted to draw something small with Robin in an interesting pose. This almost became a physical work, but then I wouldn't be able to share it.

  • … Except that was the "cleaned up for presentation" version. This is what I'm actually working with.

  • And of course, seeing this on a new screen can help me see mistakes, and I found a lot to fix in the head. You should know by now how picky I can be.

  • Case in point: I gave her Jacques' beak by mistake. Robin's beak should be thin and recurved, like this. Yes, even though their beaks are identical in the actual game.

  • So long as we're being flexible with the game model, I should probably point out that Robin, like the vast majority of Animal Crossing characters, does not actually have a neck in-game. This is mostly because all the characters are designed to be viewed primarily from above. Seriously, it's really creepy when you first notice it.

Looks great thus far! Also, your 'rough sketch' is more or less what the average cleaned up ink lines look like in my works. >v< Also, if you did ever end up putting your traditional art up on somewhere else, I am sure it wouldn't be too hard to find it without breaking policy. There aren't too many Sikyanakotiks out there. Hypothetically speaking, of course.

  • Heh, I suppose not. So I'm guessing you know about the soundtrack album. You know, because I talked about the songs in the Rytmik Ultimate Miiverse community. Of course.
