Hello, everyone. Ben85 40 here. Today I wanted to share out a new thing I found in Super Mario Maker. I've only just discovered this, and it's pretty complicated so I will do my best to explain this in full detail in the comment section. Enjoy!

  • For a long time, ever since I got this game, I've been trying to find ways to glitch out of the top of the world, just out of curiousity. This "experiment" of mine was based off of a glitch in New Super Mario Bros. involving its "Secret challenge mode", which was unlocked in game by pausing in the overworld and pressing L, R, L, R, X, X, Y, Y on your DS.

  • The glitch allowed you to clip over ceilings in specific levels and go out of bounds above the top of the stage. Knowing that Mario Maker doesn't have anything like that *cough cough Switch port equals new stuff*, I was forced to consider an option that I actually found really funny- stacking dozens of springs on top of each other in a side-scrolling stage!

  • The total height of a stage from the very bottom to the very, very top is equivalent to that of 28 blocks, with every block above, which would be equivalent to 29 blocks and higher being invisible and thus inaccessible if you try putting a platform down at the highest possible point. However, after experimenting with this concept, I discovered that no matter how high you go...

  • ...the game will place an invisible wall to prevent you from moving.
