    well i think this tree is different because in the game it says great deku tree not THE great deku tree. so maybe its a desendent of the great deku tree

    According to the Hyrule Historia, after Ocarina of Time the Deku Sprout grew into a new Deku Tree. Wind Waker is set more than a century after OoT, so I guess he just grew up.
