This ridiculously epic final act really felt like something out of a superhero movie. Stellar music, visuals, and atmosphere.

It definitely tops the other 3D Bowser fights, in my opinion (3D Land's and Galaxy's were pretty tight, though. Didn't like Galaxy 2's).

Definitely agreed! It's been long enough that I don't even remember Galaxy 2's. Still gotta go back and 100% that, but 3D Land's was crazy and amazingly challenging, so satisfying to beat, and Galaxy's was damn epic. This was just nuts, and great. The whole building climb felt like something out of Spider-Man to be, and those last moments of it were perfect, the way things ramped up.

Galaxy 2's involved you ground-pounding meteors into Bowser as he tries to punch you, and he does so vvveeeerrrryyyy sslllooowwwwlllyyy... Yep, this one was great. This and NSMBW are probably my favorite Bowser battles.

Ahhh, I think I vaguely remember that. I'll get back to and get my save to 100% in that eventually. I pretty much beat it and unlocked Luigi, took a break, and didn't get back to it. Yes indeed. Nice, I'll have to check out NSMBW yet, missed out on that one so far. Though NSMBU will probably come first once it gets its Nintendo Selects version with NSLU here like in Europe.

I just need the final star, myself. Hopefully it isn't that bad, but that course-The Perfect Run-has a reputation.

Ah, good luck! I made it to World Star-2 and got too frustrated to stick with it, tired as I was by then, so I'm taking a break, and will get back to and finish that world eventually. I couldn't even get any of the Green Stars during the final Bowser battle, I was so focused on just making it through. Lotta work to do ahead for 100% yet.

Thanks! Don't worry, you're more experienced now, after 3D World. That said, you might want to stock up on lives for World-Crown in 3D World. That last course is...well, it's like Nintendo knew 3D Land's was super-easy, and boy did they make up for it...

I hope so! I was surprised I managed to get all the collectibles in any of the stages in World Bowser. Things were getting crazy hard by then. I'm definitely looking forward to just getting through the brutality of these postgame worlds. Impressively crazy but not unfair level design. I definitely need to farm lives, though, and can never have enough Raccoon Suits.

There's a quick way to max your lives, if you're interested... ;P

Hmm, I could sand to learn that! I was stressing out when I was down to below 70 lives by the endgame. Haven't been farming them nearly as easily as I did in 3D Land, where whenever I needed a pick-me-up, I'd just hit the first level and get a bunch of 1-Ups and gear up with Raccoon or Tanooki Suits for whatever level I was stuck on.

Go to Koopa Troopa Cave (W.1-2). Eventually, you'll find an area with a Koopa and a small, U-shaped tunnel (this is all underground). You have to face the wall (be in the smallest part of the "U" (one of the "handles")) and throw a shell at it WHILE jumping right after (go in big, as you might get hit). If done correctly, your character should keep bouncing on the shell, leading to the...

...old-school loves trick! (If that was confusing, there's probably a walkthrough on YouTube.) Oh, and remember that one level where you have to ride those huge block dudes over lava? Don't jump, just run! That course will become much easier if you don't jump!

Nice! Thanks for the heads-up! I'll check that out. Yeah, I was going nuts on that stage trying to jump all the time, only to eventually watch a YouTube video after losing over 10 lives on the latter half of the stage, and things got SO much easier once I knew I just had to run instead.

I was able to finish it with jumps, and I saw a Miiverse message explaining the secret after I finished (of course). I hated those Ty-Foos (giant clouds that blow you off the course), too.

Hahaha, wow, good job there. I'd always get to that last block and when it was standing up tall for the last Green Star, I'd always fall off when jumping, and lost a ton of lives that way. Oh yeah, that was a brutal stage too. Still got a lot to go back for on that one.
