    @Richie, Actually, I have shipped these two since 2010 when the Black and White datamining revealed who were the Elite 4 and the japanese fandom said 'why not?' and started shipping these two. Curiously, they were my very first slash pair and my first OTP until Link and Dark turned into THE OTP in 2012.

    Is because he used to look like this with his fancy chandelier in his Elite four room. Maybe you don't remember him because you never see him outside the Pokémon League unlike the other members of the Elite 4, I don't know.
