Tonights WIP: flat colours and dress redraw. I'm a little concerned the figure will be too dark like this, so I'm definitely going to try adding some rim lights after the shading stage. And I'm still not sure what's wrong with the floor. Other than that, it's looking good so far.

    When I say "too dark", I specifically mean "too dark to stand out from the background". Shading will definitely help with that, I hope. I almost, almost want to use a bright outline colour instead.

    Face closeup. I was actually using a dark brown for the outlines, but I'm starting to think going back to a solid black gives me a sharper contrast. Also, I really hope having the glasses covering part of her left iris doesn't just look dumb.

    I actually ended up folding a blanket over two chairs to get a better idea of the dress' folds. It looks okay now, but it should look a lot better with shading.
