    female tarantula hawk wasps paralyze tarantulas with their venom, then lay an egg in the tarantula. the egg hatches, and slowly and painfully eats the paralyzed tarantula alive. still afraid of tarantulas?

    Tarantula hawk wasps are also big, they are about the size of the tarantula, minus the long legs. In other words, they are about the same size, after chopping off the tarantula's legs.
