Have you picked up a Switch? If so, what do you think.

Haven't had any raptor screeching sounds emitting from a glitchy system, haven't had any left joy-con desyncing. No dead pixels, nothing wrong with it. Except the lack of games. Have had a blast with Zelda, but I'm just now finishing it. (Minus the Koroks.) Otherwise it's comfy as heck, just wish the OS had a bit more life to it. It's kinda boring and "dead" right now, wish it had something.

Like, music or sound effects. The eShop doesn't even have any music and it's a foreign and scary thing when you listen to the music for the Wii U and 3DS's eShop. But the OS still looks incredibly crisp and feels user friendly. Too crisp. Half of me likes it, the other half wants a bit more flavour. It's a difficult to describe system, that's for sure.

Its great. Perfect for doctor visits with my grandmother (which are often). Its also my preferred system for indie titles that aren't graphically demanding. My only issues are the d-pad on the joy cons, lazy 30fps ports of 60fps games, no virtual console (yet), and the inability to backup saves physically (granted I could see cloud saves as a future paid online feature.)

@Switchful Does the OS support different types of controllers? I hated how the Wii U could only use the Gamepad. @Trav That's great to hear. Is the 3 hour battery life an issue? For the others, do you play it for a long time, or do you pick up and go?

I quite like the Joycons. I was surprised how well they fit when I tried them. But ngl, I would've liked them a bit bigger.

A bit bigger would be nice, yeah. But surprisingly even with my beef fingers they still fit like a glove. I can easily nudge the right control stick while pushing the ABXY buttons without it feeling too foreign in it's current size.

@Burgundy: Not yet but I could see that being an annoyance while traveling.

Odd, normally they make XL's first. Last time they made a mini for portable was the Gameboy Micro, and I think the Wii for home consoles. Granted, this is probably just for portability, if they're stretching that aspect more. I'd be all for a Switch XL, despite going to need to have to carry it in a case. Normal Switch easily fits in a hoodie pocket, or baggy short pockets.

Update: Still not experiencing raptor screeches, dead pixels, or de-syncing, but the left spot on the console you click the left Joy-Con into no longer keeps the Joy-Con completely stable. It sticks, but a few Newtons of force can easily push it out with no button press. I've been pushing the back button of the Joy-Con every time to take it out, but I might have been pulling the controller early.

@Burgundy - You could use more controllers on the Wii U besides the Gamepad.. you could use all controllers from previous systems dating back to the Gamecube! You could even use the 3DS as a controller in Smash Brothers! I'm not getting a Switch yet.. currently not worth it!
