What shiny hunting method have you found most effective? I've tried fishing chains, horde encounters, pokeradar, and friend safari. If I had to rank them it would go like this. 4. Friend Safari, I've barely tried but this method is the blandest with literally moving and encountering, plus I've heard this method can take the most time. 3 is pokeradar, this can be confusing at the start and

    easy to mess up. I'll say it now that I've only gotten shinies from fishing since I've used that the most. Number 2 is horde encounters. This is simple but just annoying and tedious to enter the pokemon menu, select sweet scent, over and over again. Or if you get two shinies in a horde or get the wrong horde it can be very aggravating. Finally Number 1 is the fishing method.

    I've gotten 4 different shinies this way ( Magikarp, Gyrados, Carvannah, and Alomola) Plus 2 Magikarps and a Poliwag for my friends. This method has simply taken me less time and has the reaction time for something to keep you on edge. Note: I forgot the Masuda (breeding method) so it gets ranked number 5 since it is also bland plus it's unpredictable

    You get the pokeradar by beating the Pokemon League. Go to the second floor of professor Sycamore's lab, go to the right side and talk to the person by the machine (or talk to everyone to be safe) and they'll give it to you. How you use it is WALK 50 steps then use it in grass. Look up a guide on how to use it for shiny hunting they'll explain it better than Iwould

    Actually no, In the original Ruby and Sapphire Wally's Ralts could be shiny, or Professor Juniper's Minccino in the "cutscene" or the Poochyena from G/S so no the chance of a shiny is always there unless nintendo blocked it like with Zygarde or Kyruem in B/W 2
