    It works, thats how I learned to progress in the original Starfox SNES, for years I couldn't beat the 3d route, the last 4 levels were very diffic. But as I learned the basics, I could use them in action. My timing, barrel rolls, shooting, collecting of upgrades, and staying healthy got better and better.

    Trying entering a level in co op mode but don't worry about using the gamepad. Stick with the other controller and it'll be similar to previous games. Good luck.

    Why not? I just played with wiimote and nunchuck and didn't have to worry about the gamepad. I didn't try it on all levels though.
