Why do they call it the legend of zelda instead of The Legend Of Link?

    Think of it this way: The games are all stories that the Royal Family pass onto their descendants. So they would be stories that Zelda once told to her children, hence it's a legend of Zelda. Link is just a hero in the story, but it's not a story about him, we just see the story through his eyes. Other series do that. Like why is Metroid called that if you play as Samus, not a Metroid.
