the better the new job classes are. All of the races begin with at least two job classes, which will expand and grow as the game progresses. So don't be afraid to try a new trade. Combining trade skills will also open up new job opportunities. Example, learn 5 black magic spells, and 2 white magic skills, and you can then open up the Time Mage job. Some jobs are exclusive to certain races, so

  • be sure to hire someone from every race. When at war, the first thing to focus on is getting rid of the opposing team's healer! A healer can undo in one turn all of the damage it took you 5 turns to accomplish. Once the healer is gone, try to focus on long range attackers: archers, magicians, and gunners. Try taking out one enemy at a time, rather than trying to hit everyone at once.

  • Yes. You can fire all the weaker members of your party until you only have 5 members. Don't worry, they keep coming. During the month of Huntmoon, you can get "Viera Wanrted" missions at the pub. Save your game/create a restore point on the 4th day. Then, on the 5th day, you can reset until you get the Viera with your desired skill (sniper, summoner, assasin, etc.) Fair warning: Assasins are VERY→

  • You actually unlock new jobs depending on how many Actions your character mastered.

  • Yeah, it's a very satisfying and engrossing system. The Vieras have some of the most complicated skills to unlock certain jobs, but so worth it. The Red Mage is a powerful conjurer, the fencer learns some excellent skills. I really LOVE the assassin class paired with red mage. And the sniper skill is sweet, too, and when paired with assassin skills, the deadliest team member you'll have.

  • I like the Padalin and Fighter combination i'm training the Main character.

  • I love the steal ability, so that's the first thing I train my main guy with. In fact, all of my humans and Moogles learn to steal. Blue mage skills become very worthwhile later in the game, but to learn the really good monster skills, you need a Beastmaster to Control the beasts. Fairies can teach you white wind and angel whisper. WW heals multiple members, and AW will raise get you back up if

  • you get KO'ed. I also like the Fighter's long range, deadly strikes. The Ninja abilities don't do huge damage, but they are all status affecting, which is vital later in the game. And Ninjas can learn Double Sword, which lets you carry TWO weapons at once. It's 999 AP, but well worth the time. The Nosada teaches that one. You can steal Nosadas later in the game if you have the steal weapon ability

  • or, when your clan's abilities reach a certain level, the game will give you a Nosada as a bonus. But that involves long playing time. Either way, a big plus to learn Double Sword. Same with the Red mage Double Cast ( the Madu teaches this. Also a bonus weapon, or stealable.) 999 AP, worth every battle to own it.
