You know what I dislike drawing more than anything else... myself. No, it's not because I don't like the way I look, its just that I've had to do way too many self portraits, they take so much time, and it's boring. I've had to make 9 different self portraits using various materials in the past 3 years! 5 of which were just during this first year of college!

    I want to draw things on here or on my tablet instead, but I have to force myself to put any drawing motivation into the self portrait for my drawing final. Fortunately I almost have everything drawn and shaded, I'll just need to darken the shading more.

    IDK, I guess the only reason for making this post is just to explain that I want to draw on here more, but it's just gonna have to wait about another week or two. I have some cool plans for this Summer, maybe some form of drawing request *wink wink*, but I just need to hang on through these last slow weeks.

    I've drawn my face 3 times in art class these last months in this year of middle school. Though, I haven't had problems with it cuz I like drawing me. Wish I could show you though

    Oh my goodness, I know exactly how you feel. I went to an art high school as a visual artist, and it really wore on my self confidence drawing self portraits all the time. Push though your finals! I believe in you!

    @Erl-X: I enjoyed the first few self portraits I made, because it's interesting to look at yourself with a more observational eye, and see the things you don't normally notice. But that charm was lost pretty quickly afterward, plus I don't really like shading with graphite pencil, because it takes forever (which I have to use for this self portrait)

    However, I did notice this time that my left eyebrow is “shorter” than the right one. I'd much rather draw somebody new, preferably a family member because I think I'd put more, um, love into making the drawing. Lol, I'm way too shy to even think about posting my self portraits online. Do you ever draw or do art stuff in your free time?

    @Requiem: Thanks, finally nearing completion for my portrait, just gotta darken everything (which is my least favorite thing).Some stuff looks a bit off, but it looks like me, so it gets the job done. I think my other finals should be fairly easy-ish. I assume you have finals pretty soon too, so good luck to you!
