    If you talk to the Friendship checker in Laverre city. If she says "You must really like your it and always keep it by your side!", then it is either ready to evolve or very close to evolving And if she says "It's amazingly friendly toward you! It must be so happy spending every day with you!", then it is definitely friendly enough to evolve.
