first off you need to power bracelets/ power braces (the braclets that let you pick up giant boulders), the deku leaf, i think the magic meter upgrade, the wind waker to change wind direction and i would recomend alot of hearts. at the right side of outset island their is a big boulder that you fly/float over to using the deku leaf, lift the boulder and throw it out of the way, their should now...

... be a bottomless pit, jump in. by 20 or 30 floors you should be able to get a chest to appear by using the wind waker to play the song you use to change to wind direction and if you want the heroes charm (the mask you want) you will need to go down even further to floor 50 which is the last floor. now no adventuring inside the pit is needed it's just rooms with a ton of monsters getting more...

difficult with each floor and the quantity of them multiplying each floor. I would recommend trying to get it after you finished both temple of the sages and bring along alought of rupees and magic armor with you (you get the magic armor by completing the trading quest from windfall island, wearing it doesn't let you take any damage but if you do get hit it will take away some of you rupees) i...

was able to get through without using the magic armor until the last 2-3 floors. but in the end all the hero charm does is simply show you the amount of hp the enemy has when you lock on to it, and gives you bragging rights i guess
