So begins the latest entry in the StarFox series. It is time for your end, Andross. You have polluted the Lylat System for far to long. Also, Pigma...vengeance has arrived.

  • Autobots, Transform! Maximals, Maximize! Predacons, Terrorize! This is Cybertronian technology if I've ever seen it! It's wonderful too see elements of the finished-yet-aborted StarFox 2 come back in such an intuitive way!

  • ''Lazerbeak, transform. Operation: annihilation.'' This has to be the most fun I've had with a StarFox game since the original entry in the series. Solid shooting action combined with a very fresh approach. Games with this kind of innovation are not made very often anymore.

  • So what do you think about this game? I think a few levels were great, but overall, it left a lot to be desired. Not to bring a downer on your fun, but I figure if you made it to the Gigarilla, you probably figured out if you like it or not.

  • @Kevin: I thought you played this exceptional game already?! What is holding you back from delving into this clever sequel to a treasured franchise? Look, look into the eyes of the Gigarilla and ask yourself: ''why?''

  • @The Fox: I think this could be the greatest game in the series. The intense shooting and dog fighting action of the StarFox series is pushed to an even higher level this time around due to the immersive new controls. I'm not quite sure what it feels like to pilot an Arwing, but it must be something like this.

  • I played the first level to try it out when it first came out. I was in the middle of something else at the time, though, and it just fell by the wayside.

  • I thought the duel screen, hybrid control were interesting, a little clumsy, but overall good once I got the hang of them. My problem was the game was too short, linear, and confined by small battle spaces and/or on-rails design (essentially, it was stuck in the 90's). The free flying action was good, but there wasn't enough of it. And I think to add to replayability, they should have used a...

  • ...branching level design (with a lot more total levels) where you have to search out Andross. His location would be one of several locations assigned when you start the game, and if there were a total of 30 levels, you might only play 10-15 of them to beat the game. But the next time you play, you'd have to chase him through a different sequence of levels to find him. As it is, I think...

  • ...this game has too little contents for a full price game. And if my description sounds like I'm describing something very specific, that's because I am. Gates of Zendocon (Atari Lynx, 1989) had 50 levels, but with multiple warp gates creating a maze of levels. It was possible find the boss and win only playing about 10 of them. The next time you played, most of the levels would be different.
