So far we have a winner! The learning curve is kinda jarring, going back and forth from the pad to the TV, but I'll get used to it. Just takes practice.

  • When I've put the CD in for the first time, the training started by itself. And I found the controls to be so natural yet tricky. Takes time, but it grew on me. It was a nice experience.

  • Yeah, I do recomend training, and it does take a little "getting to know the level", but once you realize it's you moving that makes you have to recalibrate, you've pretty much got it down. By level 4, it starts picking up the difficulty.. As and old schooler, I'm loving this! I' can tell where many others wouldn't like it, but this is good!

  • It's a good start for the series, now. I just hope they will leave the StarFox 64 influence. It's been 20 years. With the new game, I felt I was playing it back entirely. Except that it was pretty different at the same time. That game was amazing, but they need to let go of it.

  • I'm not complaining here, but Nintendo doesn't stray to far from its formula when it comes to it's big name series. It's typically either a few new mechanics that change in their respective franchise, or the peripheral that adds to it.. In the case of Star Fox here, they've done both. Not only is the gamepad worked in really well with the basic mechanics of the game, but the addition of.....

I haven't tried out the 2 player mode yet (a pilot/gunner set up in one cockpit), but this is yet another form of 2 player cooperative play I haven't seen Nintendo do yet. It's hard, there is a lot to get used to, but it's good.. Maybe not for everyone, but I'm a big fan.

  • If they can at least create a new story with new lines, that'd be a great start! I feel the need to do a rerun of the game, now. lol I blame you. ;)
