    I didn't even know schools banned leggings and sweatpants. I went to an elementary school and a middle school where they were, but it was because we wore uniforms. The highschools I went to didn't care though, they just didn't want girls skirts, shorts, or dresses to be too short. And then in college you show up to class in your pajamas, and they don't care so long as you're there on time.

    My town's middle school and highschool banned sweat pants. Leggings are fine as long as your shirt goes to the mid-thigh. Also, the teachers will get triggered if your shoulders are visible. Most of the time, only the girls get in trouble for making a violation. It's incredibly annoying.

    I feel like schools are more lenient when it comes to guys and dress code. You pretty much only ever hear of a girl getting sent home because she violated it in some way.

    Exactly. I never understood why schools treat boys and girls so differently. I was always taught that if someone puts their hands on you without your permission, you smack 'em upside the head. It didn't matter what their gender was.
