@Blake: Haha, that's what I meant. You had to be in an honors society or something to have a chance at it anyway, and because of how poorly the cover school is managed my family never even heard that it existed despite me qualifying for it. Nope Simon, never heard of anything like tha. Shame, sounds like something I migh enjoy…

"Fun" is a word that only a few people would apply to the ACT and SAT, but I agree that I had fun taking the ACT, PSAT, and my one AP exam. The only bad part of the AP exam is the pressure that you can't take the test again. AP exams often have a lot of essays, but other than that, they're basically the ACT for a specific class.

Matthew, the main difference is that they are content-specific for their particular class/subject and have large free-response (i.e., essay or showing your work for math) sections in addition to the multiple choice. So if you have mastered the subject that the test is covering and are able to show that through both multiple choice q's and writing, then I imagine it would be "just as fun" for you.

Hehehe, yeah I think I would almost consider standardized tests "fun". Unlike regular tests and exams, which invlove just memorizing facts and rules, you can develop strategies to the ACT/SAT.

I will never understand all this terminology and the processes, types of classes... real school has always been a mystery to me, college is going to be a labyrinthine enigma of hopelessly tedious subjects... Wait, Winnie? What? Oh no, how?

Eh I'm fine don't worry. I can't explain on here because of admins but, it has to do with the post I made earlier. Also, I had been contemplating whether I wanted to make a career out of this anyway so... Yeah. I'm still not sure what I'm gonna do about the situation, but my mom said she didn't blame me for leaving so that's most likely what I'll do.

Yeah… That's probably a sound course of action. What the teacher is doing already sounds unconstitutional, but somehow I doubt you and your mom are about to wage a legal battle over it, eh? I'll pr@y that you get some guidance then, sounds like you're at a huge crossroad… Though if you do wind up living off of art, you at least don't need a formal education or degree to be good at it, right?

I don't think my particular situation calls for legal action. I do plan on calling the department head and explaining my problem. I mean, when your class is supposed to be about graphic design and the instructor spends 70% of that time with topics that have absolutely NOTHING to do with design, and instead talks about "left" stuff... Something's wrong. cont.

I have a full year of credits and good grades in graphic design. I could easily transfer or change my major. If not, I know enough to maybe get some freelance jobs. Thanks for the pr@yers though. I need a lot of guidance right now.

So more indoctrination than anything… Yeah, somebody needs to be warned that their job just became a lot less secure. Well, you have options! That's good. I don't know if I'd leave college altogether (wouldn't sound good at a job interview), but of course I don't know what the situation is for your family... But you're welcome!
