I am watching the BBMAs for the first time in my life, and the ONLY reason I am is for BTS! If they don't win that award and beat Justin Beaver I'm going to flip some tables over and blow up! All the rest of the contestants are trashy. I also want BTS to perform, Billboard needs to give them a chance!

    I have no idea what those acronyms are. I assume it has something to do with music, though. I stopped listening to new music around the year 2000.

    The BBMAs is the Billboard Music Awards that's on ABC channel, and BTS is a K-pop (Korean pop) boy band. I don't blame you for giving up on music; most of it is garbage nowadays and they can't even sing or dance good... I couldn't even watch the whole show, after BTS won the award I turned it off. Stupid Billboard didn't even let them perform on stage >:(

    Yeah! None of the other contestants stood a chance because we voted so many times! BTS truly deserved to win it. They put so much effort into their singing and choreography, much more than most popular singers in the States. Many of their songs have positive self-empowering meanings too, which is hard to find nowadays. I'm glad more people are starting to take notice of them here.

    @Kevin We wanted to crush the competition so there was no question of who the winner was! And BTS is such a refreshing pop group it was worth all the votes. I don't love every single one of their songs, but a lot of them are excellent imo! They're also a really humble group, unlike many singers and rappers today.

    I don't think I've ever heard any Korean music before. I've never even heard that one popular song by the guy in the pistachio commercial. Is it anything like Japanese pop music?

    It's better than Japanese pop in my opinion because it seems like more money and effort is put into K-pop bands by their companies than J-pop bands. J-pop has talent, but it lacks in comparison to K-pop's more elaborate music videos, dances, and the band members seem to mesh better than Japan's generally speaking.

    I don't care for girl k-pop bands as much as the guy bands though; I think they try to hard to be cute, and it's unnecessary and a little weird. The guys' dances are cooler too imo generally speaking.

    I mean, the boy bands are practically all a bunch of pretty boys in full-face makeup, but they don't overdo the cute thing as much as the ladies most of the time, and the boys have a larger amount of better songs!

    Pretty much all I know of the Japanese stuff is from Hatsune Miku, the group that did the Teen Titans theme song, and Baby Metal.

    Bump of Chicken is pretty good. They're a Japanese rock band, and made a song for one of the Final Fantasy games. I still hope they make another Miku game for the 3DS! I pretty much accomplished as much as I could in the last one.
