    Tough question. Living in silence is like living your life knowing someone significant in your life is now impacted by the thing you said in the wrong intended way, which can be almost a mental tick on your brain that just keeps biting a spot you can't scratch.

    But living in silence means to live your life with everything around you happen without your help or two sense in the matter. The lack of doing anything could also be painful to witness because you could think that it was your fault for not doing anything about it when you had the chance, blaming yourself for letting bad things occur around you. This is really a matter of personal beliefs.
