    Improvement won't come right away. Instead of trying to force yourself to improve, try experimenting with different things. While gaining new skills, you'll improve as well. All arty wisdom aside, to be quite honest, your art style is very pleasant to see, necks or not.

    Hey Panda, I'm no artist as you may know, so this might invalidate my opinion, but I genuinely believe that Trial and error-ing is the right path. Honestly, being confronted to a difficulty, then finding a way to avoid it only to be faced with yetanother difficulty is how one gets better at anything, really.     -go out of your way to try something new. I'm positive that, even though it may take time, you'll ultimately find a style you'll be perfectly contempt with, a style you'll master to the point where it will really become 'your' style. As for the neck, well, believe it or not, I actually think there being none on this new 'avatar' of yours gives it a cute charming side.
