How do you beat this guy i keep on losing

For starters, don't stick around him once he leaps into the background. Since he lays there for several seconds after falling, guarding won't really help you much. Just keep moving AWAY from him, and he won't squash you. Also, he rolls back and forth 3 times total, nonstop. Sword hero? Use up + B to dodge AND deal damage during his rolling attacks.

Once he falls flat on his face, you have a couple seconds before he shrinks again. While he's shrinking, you really can't damage him. Get him after he stops blinking. Just a heads-up: He hits you when he falls, you're stuck until he gets back up.
