    i made up an idea that a gem would be made in different forms such as a pearl or amethyst. I made one as a pearl. Because it isn't a pearl, instead a onyx, i made it have both the power of illusion (I think that's what a pearl gets)and the sharp claws of an onyx. Same will go if it's made as a sapphire, they will have sapphire's power, but also the claws of an onyx. Sorry for the long description.
