My girlfriend's friend is having a child and she's not sure if she wants to keep it or not. If not then we'll be adopting it. I'm not even twenty one yet and I'm not sure how I feel about becoming a parent right now. Excited? Anxious? But as long as it makes my bab happy, I'll do anything to keep it that way.

It's very hard to think about that... Especially when mixed feelings come in. But don't worry. Things'll go there ways, and surely that child will be someones in the end, with caring parents.

There's only one question you are to ask yourself right now: are you ready? Are you mentally ready? Are you emotionally ready? Because being a parent can't just be something you do just to make your partener happy; parenting works best, if possible, when two people share the experience. Sure, she alone could raise the child. BUT...it is so much better when both people put in the effort!

Honestly? I think I am. It'll be a long and strenuous road but I'm willing to put in the effort and raise my kid to the best of my ability. Now all I need to do is move in with her so we can raise it together as a family and commit to her properly.

^ That's the right mentality. Good devil's advocate played by Garrell. Cause those things are vital. The real challenge would be in maintaining that way of how you think. If you can be consistent, and know what you're doing, you can handle things fine. If not, which I doubt, plan your things throughly and do what's right, for everyone. That child, your girlfriend, you, etc. (anyone else involved)

Well then...there's your answer. And also be sure ya can fully financially support your family. Aside from that, good luck! (be ready for a LOT more spending. Sidenote stuff. Not tryin' tah freak ya out, but just be ready for it.)

becoming a father is like babysitting but a bit more challenging. The newborn child will need OODLES of attention and care. A newborn's soft areas, (that can't have too much pressure on them) are the sides, the top of the head, down to the bottom of the nose, and the back of the head. And the most important thing, of course, is feeding. You can get newborn formula at a local target.
