supposedly, there's an indie game that's inspired by Star Fox 64/ FZero GX. (coming soon) It just looks like a fast paced rail shooter. I suppose some people gravitate to cinematics than the actual game aspect. It'll be interesting to see, I'm in. I think it's called... White Vanguard? could be wrong.

    If it's at least on of of the two, that's cool. It sounds like it has potential! But 'dethroning' SF is quite the ambitious project!

    I'm not sure if anyone sets out to dethrone their inspirations, but that's what they like. I'm contemplating making my own lately. Not a star fox inspiration, but a true action game. They're like a 2 man shop and only have 4 levels coming. Gotta just start, man.
