    It's an event-only pokemon. Unfortunately, you missed the Genesect events at the end of 2016 and in early 2017, so the only way to get one at the moment is to trade for it.

    Nope. That was just a hoax, like "Mew is under the truck" from Gen 1 or "Jirachi is in space" from Gen 3. There is no Genesect fossil.
