Back when I was kid (during the N64-era), I was always really freaked out by any underwater areas in games. Was anybody else like this?

  • I remember freaking out in swampy areas, especially when we had Maximo on our PS2. Those zombie crocodiles gave me nightmares. Speaking of aquatic monsters, the Lurker Sharks in Jak and Daxter always gave me a panic attacks.

  • The water worlds in Mario64 always freaked me out , it was even more scary because it was harder to control Mario underwater, he also had a limited amount of air (*.*)

  • When I was younger I was always afraid of that one level in Super Mario Sunshine where you go underwater and clean the giant eels teeth. Whenever I played the game and got to that part, I had someone else do it for me.

  • In Super Mario Bros. Wii,DS,and 2's ghost house,my sister challenges me to do it.As soon as I heard that ghost laugh I ran and hid under my bed .She said man up . I was like 3 or 4 then!

  • Rusty Bucket Bay from Banjo-Kazooie was ridiculous hard.

  • That shark from Banjo Kazooie (in Treasure Trove Cove, especially) freaked me out whenever I landed in the water. And then in Banjo Tooie, there was the HUGE underwater level full of giant fish and stuff.

  • When I was a kid, I was scared of making progress in Labyrinth Zone in Sonic the Hedgehog, mainly because of the music that plays when you have 5 seconds to grab an air bubble. I'm a 2000's kid, which means that I'm not a 90's kid, in which you have to be born in the 80's to qualify as a 90's kid. I got to play the first Sonic game through Sonic Mega Collection, just to let you know.

  • Well, Sonic Mega Collection Plus, to be exact, which adds most Sonic Game Gear games to it.

  • I got sonic the complete sega for the DS
