Pokemon Direct - 6/6/2017 - Okay, Pokemon Fans. Calm Down Guys.

I'm pretty sure many of you have already seen the Pokemon Direct video that was shown, just recently. And I noticed that many fans on both Nintendo's official YouTube page and on various social media websites that fans are unhappy with what was shown off.

    Personally, the announcement that got me really happy was that Nintendo and Bandai Namco decided to take the Wii U / Arcade Hit, Pokken Tournament, and make a nice little DX version for the Nintendo Switch.

    Well, that and also Pokemon Gold and Pokemon Sliver are coming to the Nintendo 3DS eShop via the Virtual Console service. Which was nice to hear that more games are coming to the service.

    But now we get to the thing that many fans are upset about. And I'm probably one of those people out there who wasn't happy to hear that Pokemon Sun and Pokemon Moon are getting Ultra versions that are coming to the N3DS, later this year. I'm not upset about this just because its not on the Switch, even though that would make a lot more sense to bring these games to the system, but not the point.

    The main reason that I'm upset about this news is because why are you guys making "Ultra" versions of two games that were both released, around the end of last year? But aside from all this, I enjoyed the Pokemon Direct today. But I really don't think that most fans out there should be this upset with what was shown off.

    Guys, a Pokemon game or Pokemon games that will make many fans happy will be coming to the Nintendo Switch at some point! Just like Mario Kart and eventually Super Smash Bros., Pokemon will up there with them for the system, so just wait. And besides, this is still the first year for the Nintendo Switch, so give it a break.

    Just like every other video game system that was released prior to this one, it usually takes a year later for the really good games to start rolling in. I'm telling you that the same thing will happen to the Switch.

    Yes. Also there are many games coming for the switch. Probably the ultras let you transfer. i haven't played sun/moon,but I might try them.

    It kind of bothered me too. Mainly because it felt as if they were rushing things in my opinion. Now if it's like BW 2 where there was a completely different, and new story, I would be fine. But it literally looks as if they're taking Sun and Moon, keeping the same story, and just changing up the pokemon. This of which bothers me.

    Wibby, exactly. That's what I'm talking about. I'm not saying that the Ultra versions of Sun and Moon are going to be bad games (far from it), but I just don't see the point of making them for a system that got the original versions, the year before.

    My thoughts on this direct are positive. 1:Gold and silver on virtual console is nice. 2:Pokken tournament dx is fine i wasn't a big fan of the original when i rented it on the wii u but I expected this. 3:Im looking forward to ultra sun and ultra moon and I dont get the hate despite stars being only a false rumor.

    elijah, I'm with you on both #1 and #2 of your post. Well, with the exception of not being a big fan of Pokken Tournament because that game was great. But anyway, if you're looking forward to playing Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon, then go ahead and have fun man.

    Besides, the main reason why everyone is upset with the announcement in the first place is because they were relying too much on these stupid rumors and leaks that kept spreading online for no reason.
