The Defensive End really isn't that much a Trick deterrent. All it does is make Plant Tricks count more Sun to use. The Defensive is expensive on it's own so by the time you play one, your opponent sorta doesn't have to worry that much about wasting Sun.

    Now Black-Eyed Pea and Sportacus, those guys REALLY know to make you think twice about playing tricks. They can come into play early on and there are immediate risks when playing tricks that don't destroy them.
